  • Medicinal Uses:

    • It is considered useful in relieving intermittent fevers, haemorrhoids, dyspepsia, cough, gonorrhoea, and flatulence, and to promote secretion of bile.

    • It is used as a digestant, appetizer, carminative, diuretic, emmenagogue and aphrodisiac agent.

    • In medicinal doses, it stimulates the heart, the kidney and mucous membranes of the urinary and intestinal tracts.
