Characteristic features : An ornamental tree ;   young  branches covered with reddish - brown  tomentum. Leaves are  bipinnate, alternate, stipules small, lateral ; rachis , opposite, slender,  brown pubescent; leaflets , opposite, margin entire, glabrous above, Flowers bisexual, golden yellow,  Inflorescence paniculate, terminal and  lateral racemose panicles; pedicels , calyx lobes 5, ovate,  petals 5, subequal, crinkled; stamens 10, filaments free, pilose at base; anthers uniform; ovary half inferior;  Fruit a pod, , oblong-elliptic, minutely ; seeds 1-4, lenticular, light brown, compressed.  Planted as an ornamental tree.
