  • Medicinal Uses:

    • In Ayurveda, it is used in herbal formulations that boost memory, restore cognitive deficits and improve mental function.

    • It is also used for wound healing, treatment of various skin conditions such as leprosy, lupus, varicose ulcers, eczema and psoriasis.

    • It is also used for treatment of diarrhoea, fever, amenorrhea, and diseases of the female genitourinary tract

    • The plant is consumed as a green leafy vegetable in Sri Lanka and south India in the forms of juice, drink, and other food products.
